And the new addition in that list of controversies is the “Mongoose”. Surprised?

Are you thinking that how a mongoose can contribute some controversy to cricket? I'm not concerned about that mongoose, I'm talking about the “MONGOOSE BAT” which is becoming the nightmare of the bowlers. It is a kind of bizarre to see a tall batsman with a lilliputian long handled, short plate bat. But it is the fact that Mongoose bat gives a lot of power to the batsmen and helps them to kill bowlers.

Matthew Hayden was the first to use the little monster Mongoose in any IPL T20 match. According to Hayden “It is a strike weapon, but you have to strategically use it as well. I think more than anything it’s a matter of picking to the time when you are going to use it”. With the advent of T20, the whole cricket world had entered in an era of power, pace and glamor. And now it is clear that the mongoose bat is right there to rule the game.
